I am a Board Member at Gülermak Heavy Industries Construction & Contracting Co. — one of Turkey's leading infrastructure and construction companies with ~€1 billion annual revenue, operating across Turkey, Poland, the Balkans, the Middle East, India and the Philippines.
With over 25 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects, I have played a pivotal role in expanding Gülermak's operations across Central, Eastern, and Northern Europe. Previously serving as Executive Director for Europe, I led business development, project execution, strategic planning, and market expansion — building high-performing teams and evaluating strategic partnerships to drive sustainable growth. Throughout my career I have ensured the successful delivery of complex metro, rail, and industrial projects.
Leading international teams across 17 nationalities, I've never lost sight of the human side of the equation. Work, for me, is not just what I do — it's part of who I am. Serious, but not rigid.
I hold a Master of Science in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ).
I write about leadership, behavioral economics, mental models, and the human side of large-scale infrastructure. Occasionally also about language learning and whatever else catches my attention. Curious, grounded, and never done growing.
